11. Classrooms
The classrooms on the ground and first floors vary in size and layout, ranging from theater-style classrooms with sloped floors and fixed seating to flexible active learning spaces that can be easily reconfigured to allow for flipped classroom models and student-led discussions. Classrooms are primarily located on the lower levels and first two above-ground floors.
Classroom 1.402, visible through the glass wall that fronts the atrium, is one of seven flexible classrooms of various sizes. Six 24-person seminar rooms are also located throughout the building. Many classrooms are equipped with a wall made of privacy glass, which can be either transparent or opaque.
The Winokur Family Hall, 1.321, the largest of the four lecture halls (300-person, 100-person, 70-person, and 49-person rooms) can be accessed from the West Atrium. Each lecture hall has state-of-the-art instructional technology along with traditional chalkboards.
