Three seniors at the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) have been named finalists for the 2022 Hertz Fellowship in applied sciences, mathematics and engineering.
Louis Golowich (A.B., S.M. ‘22), Shuvom Sadhuka (A.B. ‘22) and Franklyn Wang (A.B., S.M. ‘22) were among 45 finalists out of more than 650 applicants. Wang and Golowich are both pursuing master’s degrees in CS at SEAS while concentrating in mathematics, and Sadhuka is in a joint concentration in CS and quantitative biology.
They now advance to a round of interviews, after which the 2022 class of Hertz Fellows will be announced in May. Recipients of the Fellowship receive five years of funding towards a Ph.D. in, according to the program website, “vital research that advances our security and economic vitality."
