Chandrashekar creates COVID-19 resources in over 30 languages

Alumna organized a coalition of students to translate COVID-19 information

Pooja Chandrashekar, A.B. ’18 (biomedical engineering), a first-year student at Harvard Medical School, organized a coalition of students to translate COVID-19 information into 30 languages.

She launched the COVID-19 Health Literacy Project, which brought together students from more than 30 universities to create fact sheets in languages not commonly represented in the American health care system. They have created seven fact sheets in 35 languages and have partnered with more than 30 health care providers around the world.
