"In first coming to Harvard, I hoped that I would one day leave with the tools and skills necessary to go out into the world, to identify large-scale problems, and to build innovative solutions. However, I didn't originally know that computer science would become the area that would both capture my interest and put me on the path to realizing my initial hope. I was first drawn into the department by a simple curiosity, and I have journeyed on since, captivated by the technical and big-picture possibilities illuminated by an extraordinary combination of engaging coursework, inspirational faculty, and supportive friends/fellow concentrators."
