Na Li wins prestigious AACC 2019 Donald P. Eckman Award

Na Li, the Thomas D. Cabot Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering and Applied Mathematics at the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS), has received the 2019 Donald P. Eckman Award from the American Automatic Control Council (AACC).

The Eckman Award recognizes outstanding engineers younger than 35 years in the field of automatic control. It is one of five annual distinguished awards, made by the AACC since 1964.

Li was honored for her “fundamental contributions to control and optimization of networked systems, including foundational theory of performance limits, novel algorithm design, and applications to real-world cyber-physical societal systems.”

She received the B.S. degree in Mathematics in 2007 from Zhejiang University in China and the Ph.D. degree in Control and Dynamical Systems in 2013 from California Institute of Technology. She also did one-year postdoc research at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her previous awards include the NSF CAREER Award, AFOSR YIP Award, ONR YIP Award, Harvard Climate Change Solution Fund, the Harvard PSE Accelerator Award, and some paper awards.
