Samir Paul, A.B. ’10 (computer science), has received a Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans.
Paul, the child of immigrants from India, received the award to support his work towards a J.D. in law at Columbia University. He is interested in studying the effects of law and policy on public institutions and upward social mobility.
He is currently a computer science teacher for Montgomery County Public Schools in Maryland. The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans program honors the contributions of immigrants and children of immigrants to the United States.
