Alumni startup launches with $3.95M in funding

Transcend, founded by Ben Brook, A.B. ’17 (computer science) and Michael Farrell, A.B. ’16 (computer science), S.M. ’17 (computer science), recently launched with $3.95M in seed funding.

The data privacy company, which Brook and Farrell founded as Harvard students, develops tools that help users see how companies are using their personal data, and opt out of the marketing and sale of their personal information.
