Sung Hoon Kang, Ph.D. ’12 (applied physics) will present materials science research at the China-America Frontiers of Engineering Symposium (CAFOE) in June.
Kang, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, will share his progress in making multifunctional materials with self-adaptable mechanical properties and self-regeneration, inspired by natural materials such as bones and coral reefs.
The CAFOE, organized by the National Academy of Engineering and Chinese Academy of Engineering, will be held in San Diego from June 20-22.
