Lisa Gualtieri, Ph.D. ’89 (computer science), was a featured presenter on a SEAS panel discussion titled “The Intersection of STEM and Social Justice.”
Gualtieri, Assistant Professor of Public Health and Community Medicine at Tufts University, focuses her research on digital health communication, including integration of wearable activity trackers into clinical visits and patient use of online communities and social media for social support.
The panel discussion was part of BRIDGE Week at SEAS, a week of activities to celebrate diversity in STEM, to promote open dialogue about important issues affecting climate, and to provide practical advice on creating a diverse and inclusive place to work and study.
