Charles Duan, A.B. ’04 (computer science) has been named associate director and senior fellow in the technology and innovation policy department at the R Street Institute.
Duan, who also holds a juris doctorate from Harvard Law School, comes to R Street from the Washington, D.C.-based public interest group Public Knowledge, where he served as director of the patent reform project, an initiative aimed at promoting innovation and protecting access to technology.
The R Street Institute is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, public policy research organization that seeks to promote free markets and limited, effective government.
