Harvard University and Allied Minds have teamed to establish SiEnergy Systems, LLC to commercialize its micro-scale technology for solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC). The technology was originally developed from the research of Dr. Shriram Ramanathan at Harvard University. His research focus has been on oxide thin films and nanostructures, with an emphasis on understanding how processing affects properties. He recognized his research results could be used commercially to develop SOFCs that operate at lower temperatures, lower cost, and higher densities.
